Depressive State
It all started when her father had a heart disease.
Precious was on her fourth year in high school when her father had series of heart treatment. Since then, her mother focused on the recovery of his father - causing her to feel like that she only has herself to lean on. And growing up as an only child, it only made her feel worse.
With that, she tried to connect with people. As almost everyone knows her on the campus, she introduces herself as a happy person - considering herself as Miss Congeniality. But as days pass by and with the situation of her family, she starts to question everything. She may have number of friends but she struggles with choosing the right person to share her problems with.
College days made it feel worse.
It was her mother's decision to take her college on their province in Quezon. With the situation of her family and most especially when her father died, Precious knew that her mother goes through also with depression. Her mother needs her to stay. But that setup only lasted for a year. Her mother blames her for everything during their argument - making her feel that she wanted to disappear. And with that, she decided to make stand and pursue her studies in Manila.
Precious took Bachelor of Science in Tourism during her first year in college and even when she transferred school. Later that she realized, during her third year, she really wanted to shift her degree into Bachelor of Science in Psychology. It was only his father's decision that made her chose the degree in Tourism. And setting her footprints on the new environment, she only had a few friends.
During one of their family reunion, her grandmother flew back, together with her relatives, from United States of America. She was scrutinized by the way she dresses up. Her hair color, which is an ombre rose gold, and earrings were called out by her mother in front of her relatives. And worse, she was named names like "call girl" and "a drug addict" simply because of the way she looks.
It was also in college where she met her second boyfriend, which triggered her to harm herself and eventually attempt suicide. In spite of the good things she felt with that guy, he pushed her to do things beyond her limits and even betray her - making her gradually feel to lose herself. But what made her feel ease somehow was when she saw her father during one of her depression episodes.
While she was on their balcony around three in the morning, she saw a light leading through an image of his dad. They talked about forgiving her mother, problems they have in the family, and even her friends were mentioned. Her father wanted her stop from doing things that might hurt her more but Precious wanted to go with him. She remembered that it was a fond memory of his father that he points his fingers at her back and suddenly he will disappear. After she told that she wanted to go with him, a light flash and his father pointed his finger at her back and something dropped.
